Kabar Becker BK3 Forced Entry Tool For Law Enforcement? | Mr. Locksmith White Rock: The Becker BK3 is a utility knife or a tactical knife.

Kabar Becker BK3 Forced Entry Tool For Law Enforcement | Mr. Locksmith White Rock

The BK3 is a design collaboration between Ethan Becker of BK&T and John Benner of TDI, the Tac Tool smashes, bashes, pries, hammers and cuts. It is equally powerful at lifting stubborn hinge pins, prying open doors or windows, and hammering out glass as it is efficient at cutting 550 cord. A partially serrated edge makes cutting looped and synthetic materials a breeze. MOLLE compatible hard plastic sheath included. Becker Knives “Work for a living”. Made in the USA

The Fixed Blade on the BK3 Becker TacTool by Becker Knife & Tool of KA-BAR® is made from 1095 CRO-VAN Steel and features a Flat grind. 1095 CRO-VAN steel is an easy to sharpen, plain carbon steel used in knife making. Proven to be one of the most popular steels used in KA-BAR Knives

Becker BK3

In this video, I am going to talk about the Becker BK3 or Becker Tac Tool.  It is a utility knife or a tactical knife, whatever you want to call it, we’ll just show you. What does it have to do with locksmithing? Or more importantly, forced entry for police? This does not replace the traditional bars and stuff to bash down doors, get through doors. This is not a covert tool, but it’s a good tool for police to have for if they’re part of a tech tactical team, in my opinion, or if you’re involved with a search, with a search warrant, of course, and you have some minor locks to defeat. So again, we push the covert entry, but this is kind of interesting ’cause just take a look at this. There’s a beast. So this is not an unboxing because I got just the other day I ran across a police unit using one of these and I thought I have to have one and I have to play with it. So I went and bought one. What’s the first thing I do with it? I hack away at a SentrySafe, so we will show that video. So I, a little later, we’ll have a couple of days, but it’s a monster. It’s very, very thick. You know, the handle feels good. This is not a hunting knife. I wouldn’t even call it a camping knife. I’m gonna show three tools that I think are really useful for the average police to have, you know, in the back of your car, in a MOLLE pack. And this is one of three little force tools. So this is the biggest force tool. This does not replace your more traditional police entry tools, which really just copy the firemen. The firemen have fantastic tools for breaching doors. The police have a lot of interesting tools, too. This does not replace the traditional tools. Once you’re inside and you’re running across some interior doors, bedroom doors, bedroom locks, small safes, small drawers, again, it’s a forced entry tool. You can beat on the end if you’ve got a hammer or some stuff. We take a look at it. It’s the Becker BK3. And there are lots of online stores selling it. It’s a great tool. For locksmiths, we’re not gonna show up with this. Sometimes we’re involved in, the police who have already done a forced entry. Then they call us up to open stuff inside. Again, I wouldn’t use it. I can pick the locks.

Locked Out? Call Mr. Locksmith and we will use our lock picks and not the BK#

So for locksmiths and police could use this, too. Sometimes it’s just quicker, faster. Just cut it off. We have a cordless grinder with a cutting wheel. Super fast. The drill, also known as the rotary pick. We use that. So, but that’s traditional locksmithing tools when we have to step it up. We can’t pick it. We don’t have time to pick it. We can bring in these tools. So would a locksmith use this? Not really. But I have it in my kit just for the fun of it. For police? Yes. And combined with the two other locksmith tools which will have follow-up videos. For in the back of your police car, have it there. Smash out a window? Wow, this is like, we’re gonna go to a wrecking yard. We’re gonna knock out a few windows on cars. This thing just hacks right through them. Very quick. And then clean up the glass, of course. So, a force tool. Interesting. It’s got a knife on the edge. It’s got a pretty sharp edge. You can baton on this. It’s so big. It’s got the chiseled front. This could actually slip. It’s a little bit too thick, but it can actually slip some latches. So if you have a key and knob lock, you could slip it with this. Some small padlocks, you could just hack away at it. Like I said, I took this to a SentrySafe and it’s amazing how well it did. The only part that we, that I don’t really like on this, I would call it the seat belt cutter. It didn’t really cut some seat belts too good. It was okay. There’s better tools for cutting seat belts. This was pretty sharp here and it’s got the segregated blade on it. This chops through rope, wood. Even I took some band steel, some small band steel and just cut it. You can see the finish has held up pretty good considering how bad I treated it. Again, I think this is the weak point for a pry bar. I think it will snap there, but I think you really gotta pull at it to snap it. It’s not gonna just snap. But if I had to do with some of my other tools, which I’ll show ya. I mean, if I have to wedge the door a little bit, put in one of my slip tools to slip the latch back, small deadbolts, it’d probably just pop it back. Desk locks, it’ll open it in seconds. It’s an interesting tool. I like it. It was fun when I saw it in action for the first time and I thought I have to have one of these. So I have it. And I’ll show some more videos with it in use. And I’ll show two more little tools I like to put with this, and which makes it a good all round forced entry tool. Again, not really for locksmiths. Law enforcement’s gonna have a fun time with this. Yes, you have better tools, bigger tools, but for just attach this to your MOLLE pack with the couple extra little tools, and you have yourself a nice little entry kit. Stay tuned for more videos on this in use and a couple more little forced entry tools. I hope you enjoyed watching this video. Subscribe to my channel. How to Take a Copy of a Key | Mr Locksmith White Rock

How To Take A Copy Of A Key | Mr Locksmith White Rock

https://mrlocksmithwhiterock.com/

Sending a locksmith the picture of a key can help us identify the key or lock. This may seem like a silly video, but it’s actually very important. I made the “How to Take a Picture of a Key” to help our customers.

  1. Take an in-focus picture of the key.
  2. Take a picture of both sides of the key.
  3. Remove any tape or obstruction covering the head of the key.
  4. If possible a picture of the end of the key.
  5. In-focus pictures of the key.

Key Copy Near Me

A lot of times customers ask Where can I get a “key copy near me’”  “I need my locks rekeyed.” or “Duplicate Key” and then they try to describe it to me. Sometimes they can, sometimes they can’t, sometimes there’s no information that you can see, but I can see. So, a lot of times we ask our customers “Take a picture, take an in-focus picture of the key.” So we ask our customers, email or just text me, a picture of your key. So this is how to take a picture of your key so I can see what you have. You gotta take both sides of the key. So take a picture there, so I can see what the make is, I can look at some of the grooves and then turn the key over and take a picture again, and then I can see from the other side I know it’s a Schlage, and on this I can see it’s a C123. So I can tell you “Yes I have that key.” So whatever key you have, whether it’s a car key, or house key, motorcycle, whatever, in focus, both sides of the key, then you can email it to me or a locksmith and we can tell you if we have that key.

Sometimes we’ve had people on fishing expeditions up north, they’ve taken their keys with them they’re in the middle up north, in the middle of nowhere, the wife is locked out, they have the key, and this one, we can actually see this one has a code, so we now know we can cut that by code and we can get that person in the house really quick and easy.

In conclusion, silly as it sounds “how to take a picture of a key”, in focus, both sides of the key, text or email, then we can tell you what you have. [email protected]

How to Make Keys to Cars, Automotive ONLINE COURSE

I rented this Volvo and it’s got the keys on a ring and somebody said just keep on twisting it, so I can get them apart, rather than try and cut it or find some pliers. So, I just twist and twist and twist like a figure eight and I got them apart. It is a lot better and I hate it when you rent a car, you have two keys stuck together. If I lose it, I lose ’em both. So, this way, simple. Just keep on twisting it, like a figure eight, ’til they pull apart. You don’t have to run around, trying to find a pair of pliers or anything. You just twist, pull apart. I had a friend, lost two keys, lost his whole set, lost two keys, it cost him $450, cost him over $600 to replace the keys and get them reprogrammed. So, this is a Volvo. This probably costs way more than that. Worst case, I gotta replace one, I don’t have to replace two. I hate that. You rent a car, it comes with that stupid tag, but just twist it, pull it and away we go. We could use a pair of pliers, but this is definitely easier and quicker.

How to Make Keys to Cars, Automotive ONLINE COURSE

The coronavirus is spreading all over the world. I did a video back at the beginning of January 2020, I said this is going to hit us hard, locksmiths, be prepared. Now it’s here, they’re shutting down borders, they’re stopping flights. It is affecting business. In some areas, we’ve had big drops in our business. But now we’re seeing an increase in other parts of the businesses and this is an opportunity for locksmiths. Public events are shutting down but now they want to restrict more access and they’re rekeying the locks to stop people from going into other areas. Seniors homes, they now have to restrict access because of the coronavirus and they are rekeying all their exterior doors. So there are huge opportunities.

Businesses are more vulnerable. We just had a bunch of churches got broken into because they’re not as busy with shutting down community events so they’re quiet and the burglars can’t bust into the homes because everybody’s home so now they’re breaking into churches. I’m just gonna leave right now, I’m going to a church and we’re gonna have to secure it down.

Locksmiths, you can do a couple of things. You can cocoon up and just ride it out or you can go out there and help secure your community and make some money too.

They are shutting down borders, shutting down air flights but is an opportunity, locksmiths. Go out there, be prepared, do some basic stuff call your clients, give them some security ideas. They are fearful, they need some expert guidance.

Welcome back, this is “How to become an Automotive Locksmith.”

I have been making keys to cars the day I got my driver’s license, at 16 years old and one day. I got my driver’s license and the first thing I did was load up the trunk of the car with tools so I could go out there and make keys to cars. I was opening cars like crazy, I’m only 16, we had a family locksmith business, so I’m opening up cars. It was so easy, back in those days, a slim jim, a flat piece of band steel we made, and a coat hanger. And I had a chrome-plated coat hanger because people got upset if I took their coat hanger and opened up their door, with the button. I made a little shepherd’s hook and opened it, they got mad and they didn’t want to pay, but if I took out this shiny, chrome coat hanger and opened up their door, they just thought I was a genius. I’ve been doing this a long time, been making keys to cars, and actually, it was very easy, when I was a kid, and teenager, and then into my 20s, cars were a mechanical key. If you had the keys, a lot of the automotive had the key codes, it was a fun business and not too many people did it. Which brings us to nowadays, and automotive locksmithing. We have transponder keys, we have chips within the keys, now we have prox keys that don’t even require you to plug it into the car. You just put it in your pocket, go up to your car. I got a brand new Toyota, go up into my, just walk up to the door, pull it, pull the door handle, it opens up, I sit in the car, I push the button, and away I go. Now some people say this creates less opportunity for locksmiths, but the dealers are extremely expensive. Sometimes, we’re about the same price, but the customer doesn’t have to tow the car. We can go onsite, make keys to the car. It’s becoming more complex, but it’s actually becoming a little bit easier. You can now plug into the vehicles, and make keys to it and program our keys. So automotive locksmithing, even though it’s more complex, has become extremely more profitable. To make keys to some of the new cars, the customers are looking at hundreds, or sometimes thousands of dollars from the dealership. So we can make keys to cars way less than the dealerships. Sometimes we have the same price, but a lot of times we’re more convenient, we show up, plus we’re seven days a week, 24 hours a day if you want to do that, as well. So if you want to become an automotive locksmith, join our program, and you will learn how to become an automotive locksmith. I hope you enjoyed watching this video, subscribe to my channel. Mr. Locksmith White Rock.

There is a lot of electric picks to choose from. Also, lots of garbage out there. In my opinion, it boils down to these three, and it really depends upon your budget, and what you’re doing.

DINO: It is Chinese made. It is the Dino and is very good. It’s really nice holding a pick, gun-style. I like this. It’s offshore made, I sort of have some problems with that, but it’s held up pretty good in the classroom, with lots of locksmith students. So this is a good choice. You can check my links online. It’s a good product. It’s okay, I like it. I do use it.

KRONOS: This is the Kronos, made in Germany. This is phenomenal. It’s actually extremely well-made. It’s very, very effective. This is gonna last you a long time in your kit. I have no problems at all with the quality, how it’s made. I love the battery in this. It’s absolutely fantastic. It’s good for an hour after you charge it, and you get two batteries. You’re good for two hours of picking. That’s gonna last you a good week, or a couple weeks depending upon how busy you are. It’s great. It’s very well made, and it holds nicely. I love it.

WENDT: The Rolls-Royce is the Wendt. It’s good for almost any lock in the world. It’s got a lot of adjustments. It’s extremely expensive. For service trucks, with locksmiths, you can’t go wrong with this. For the price, and everything else, this is it. What I would recommend, everybody has this one. This is good, but again I don’t like the quality of most offshore stuff. The Germans make fantastic picks, electric picks.

The Kronos is the go-to for in the truck, every day, in my toolbox. When I’ve got those jobs that are very high-end, that have to go in, of course, I’ve got this, but this is my backup for everything else. If you have to worry about different parts of the world, this is it. They’re great, but they’re not meant for covert. There are some special models that are quiet, but for the locksmiths, it even Locksport. These things put everything to shame. This is my number one chase for locksmiths, or if you are into Locksport, if you can cheat and get away with this.

For locksmiths, we are not cheating. We just want to get in, we’re for profit. They’re all moneymakers. They will make you money. And I think these two will last you a long time, Let’s see how they do against a wide range of locks from all over the world.

16th Century Danner’s Breaking Screw LocksmithTool

Leonhard Danner of Nuremberg was a Sixteenth-Century Nuremberger engineer/inventor. Nuremberger (Nürnberg) was the leading metalworking centre of Europe.

Danner was renowned for inventing and manufacturing instruments which could demolish strong Medieval Moorish castle walls, gadgets for breaking through locks and metal bars as well as creating lifting machinery for heavy artillery. At the same time, he was also producing delicate artistic works.

The Danner screw device or “Dannscher Brechschrauber” which could destroy locks came from his workshop around 1560 and the operation of the vicelike tool was as simple as it was effective. The machine’s lawless efficiency and capacity to enable criminal behaviour was quickly recognized by the Nuremberg City Council and they issued a decree banning it from January 16, 1561. Anyone requesting such an apparatus should be reported to the reigning mayor and instructions for manufacturing them were restricted. This did not prevent more of these ‘Dannscher Brechschrauber’ being manufactured.

Medieval Locksmith Tools:

“Die Brechschraube bestand aus zwei Haken, die unter die Schlossdecke geklemmt werden konnten, und einer Gewindestange, die es wirklich kinderleicht machte, das Schloss von der Tür zu reißen.”

“Danner’s breaking screw consisted of two hooks, which could be stuck undethe lock cover, and a thread bar, which made it really simple, to break the lock of the door.”

As a consequence of this invention, locksmiths developed far better and secure locks and other locksmiths, criminals, etc. invented methods to defeat these new locks.

‘Your children could have died’: Vancouver officer scolds woman for leaving kids in hot car

Always call 911 if you see a pet or person in a locked hot car alone, even if you don’t think it’s hot.

A mother scolded by a police sergeant for leaving her two young children in a sweltering SUV while she shopped for groceries in Vancouver won’t face charges, but the case has been turned over to children’s services.

A video of the visibly upset officer yelling at the woman as she stood beside her Lexus in a parking lot surfaced online Thursday.

“You don’t seem to understand the danger you put your children in,” he said to the woman as she stood with her arms crossed. “The windows were up – it’s hot out. Your children could have died.”

The cop can be heard telling the woman that a fire truck, an ambulance, and two police cars were called to the scene as a result of her actions. The officer also threatened to have the woman’s kids taken into protective custody after she appeared to argue with him.

“You don’t seem to understand what you’ve done,” he said before adding later, “What kind of parent are you?”

Vancouver police Chief Adam Palmer told reporters Friday that the woman will not face charges but that the children’s ministry has been contacted. The children, a girl, 6, and a three-and-a-half-year-old boy, were left unattended for about 20 minutes while the mother shopped for groceries Monday afternoon, Palmer said.

Palmer said police received multiple 911 calls from citizens concerned about two children in distress left in a hot car. They arrived to find the car alarm going off.

The chief said the sergeant in the video is highly respected and has children of his own.

“He was trying to convey to that woman the seriousness of what she’d done with her children.”

In Edmonton, police announced a mother was charged after her baby had to be rescued from a hot car.

Police managed to get the eight-month-old girl out of the vehicle and she was sent to the hospital for treatment.

It was believed the infant was in the car for about 45 minutes on Thursday night. Her mother, 22, who told police she forgot the baby in the vehicle while meeting a friend for coffee, is charged with causing a child to be in need of intervention.

The inside of a previously air conditioned vehicle can reach up to 50 degrees Celsius in as little as 20 minutes of sitting in the summer sun, according to the Canada Safety Council. That’s well above the temperature for heat stroke.

Although there are no national statistics available in Canada, the U.S. reports that an average of 37 children die every year in hot cars, with the majority of them being under the age of three.

Vancouver police also cautioned pet owners against leaving their furry friends unattended inside parked vehicles after they were forced to break into a car to rescue a dog at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Park earlier this week.

“Our message is don’t leave your pets or your kids in your vehicle when the weather is so hot,” Const. Anne-Marie Clark told CTV Vancouver. “Children should go without saying. Please take your children with you. Don’t leave them in the car. It’s too hot for everyone, pets or people.”
